From the birth of our nation to a spectacular 4th of July Celebration, you don’t have to look far to see, hear, and feel the true spirit of our great land. As seen through the eyes of the well meaning, but slightly befuddled Mayor of Your HomeTown U.S.A., it’s a powerful 90 minute song, dance and storytelling journey through parade routes and battlefields; town halls and concert halls. Witness moments of the American Revolution mixed with the industrial revolution. Hear Prohibition Jazz grow out of Civil War Spirituals. And enjoy America’s heroes on the battlefield and ball field rubbing elbows with entertainers and politicians alike! Iconic video images are surrounded by the sounds and speeches of our Nation’s history. It’s the music, moments and memories that make us proud to be Americans.

Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver

With multi-platinum hits like “Rocky Mountain High,” “Annie’s Song” and “Calypso,” John Denver captured a worldwide audience through his songs of care and concern. Today his music comes to life though Jim Curry’s ultimate tribute. His is the first and only full-length John Denver tribute in Las Vegas, and his shows throughout North America and on the Holland America Cruise Line are testament to John Denver’s lasting appeal. Jim’s powerful performances (accompanied by guitar/mandolin, flute, keyboard, bass and drums) bring John Denver’s greatest songs and feelings to life, blending the images of our natural earth with a love for each other. With his compelling voice and heartfelt words, Jim brings a welcome rebirth to the enduring music of America’s troubadour.

“Magnetic”, “Captivating” and “Genuinely soulful” are just a few of the accolades describing Sean Jones; a performer whose international stock is on the rise. His interpretive performances of R&B and Soul classics have wooed fans from across Canada and the US. Sean Jones previously fronted R&B vocal group “In Essence”, a five member vocal group renowned for their spectacular harmonies. Their recording of “You Will Never Have Another” became a mix show radio hit throughout America leading to a multinational record label deal with BMG Music.

Richmond Ballet

Embarking on the 2011-12 touring season, Richmond Ballet is excited to present a mixed repertory of contemporary and classical works featuring pieces by choreographers like George Balanchine, John Butler, Ma Cong and Richmond Ballet Artistic Associate and Ballet Master Malcolm Burn, among others. The 2011-12 season marks Richmond Ballet’s 28th as a professional ballet company. The company is considered one of the most innovative and impressive regional ballet companies in the country and was “highly recommended” by The New York Times.

That’s how the members of this award-winning comedy troupe make everybody laugh. With original music and parodies of familiar songs, on-point material about life and work, and superior comedy writing, this cast of five NYC comics and singers (with piano accompaniment) celebrates the insanity of everyday life. The Water Coolers, recipients of the 2009 Ensemble Entertainer of the Year award from Event Solutions Magazine, feature cast members whose résumés include performances at top comedy clubs like Igby’s, the Improv and the Comic Strip, and in Broadway or Broadway touring productions of shows such as “Rock of Ages,” “Spamalot” and “Wicked.” Each performance is a high-energy, hilarious session of song and sketch comedy, kept fresh by the ever-changing challenges of modern life. The Water Coolers turn headaches and hassles into hilarity.
